Brief Answer:
Take precautions + painkillers

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

You need a combination of painkillers + exercises+ precautions to get better. Most acute pains get better within 1 month time and do not mostly need further tests. If the pain continues for more than 1 month or it is bad pain, then please see an orthopedic surgeon.

Take one of the following pain-killers:
For bad pain: Tab voveran SR 100 mg 2-3 times a day till pain is relieved.
For mild pain: Tab Ibuprofen 200 mg 2-3 times a day or as required when pain is present.
Take muscle relaxant: Cap thiospas 4 mg 2-3 times a day alongwith painkillers.
Take calcium and vitamin D supplement: Tab Orotate 3D once daily for 10 days
Take antacid: Tab Pantacip 40 mg OD half hour before meals for 5 days or as long as painkillers are continued.
Volini gel can also be applied over the painful area.

Now coming to exercises, back strengthening exercise may be needed under guidance of physiotherapist. XXXXXXX sadhna which is 30 minute sequence of yoga asanas should also be done daily atleast 1 round before meal.

Regarding precautions, please avoid prolonged sitting for more than half hour at a time. Avoid lifting heavy weights. Take frequent small meals. If overweight, please lose some weight. Avoid bending. Avoid driving on bumpy roads. Sleep on a semi hard mattress that takes the shape of your backbone but is neither too soft nor too hard, but should be comfortable. Drink cleaner water and hygienic food.

Hope it helps.
