Suggest Treatment For Bumps On The Stomach
Question: Hello and thank you for getting back to me about my question I find this extremely caring of you. I have not been to my GP yet so I don't have an answer. But I notice I have two lumps that you can't see and only feel when I push down as in a bowel movement. Then they can be felt easily as I said one was above the navel and the other is below it and more to the left side of the navel. If you can supply me with further information that would be great if not thank you for all your help.

Lumps in the abdomen can be related to any structure present in the area from the skin inwards.
In the skin itself, a lump can arise from different aspects of the skin.
A lump may also arise from muscle, may be due to a hernia or one of the internal organs.
If related to the internal organs, normally a little more difficult to see or feel.
It is possible, based on the description that the lump may be a hernia which can occur in different aspects of the abdomen including the umbilical region or as a epigastric hernia.
These would normally protrude at times at increased pressure such as during a bowel movement.
Lipomas can also occur in the abdomen as well, these are lumps formed from collection of fat.
One of the main worries with any lump is the possibility of the lump being related to cancer but this is not a common way from cancer in the abdomen to present.
Normally there is pain, changes in bowel habits, changes in appetite, vomiting, weight loss, presence of blood in stool or vomitus.
