Question: Do I really need therapy or am I making myself appear worse then I am?
I know that I was neglected environmentally and emotionally as a child and my dad constantly yelled at me, and my mom would go insane where she wouldn't know who I was, and other sorts of abuse possibly, but I wonder if I really need therapy.
i never asked for help from anyone as a kid but I mean the environment was so dirty that mice would crawl on to my bed and wild animals would get i my room at night, and I thought no one would believe me and still think that but I have no reason to lie right now so if you don't believe me that is fine.
I recognize that it was bad so maybe it doesn't effect me that much.
I know I don't drink water even when I haven't drank any kind of fluid in a while but I feel like I could drink it if I want to but I am to lazy to or something.
I know I starved myself and lost almost 100 lbs where I weigh 125 now but now i constantly either starve or binge. But I tell myself my stomach hurts and that is why I did it or that it isn't that bad, But I know somewhat that I am doing it and try to stop sometimes so maybe I don't need therapy.
I know I have a problem where I don't like people touching me but I tell my self I am just making it up.
I tell myself that I lie to myself all the time that I am not really that bad that i am not really suffering. I mean I never do drugs or ever touch alcohol and never have or will ever have sex and I know most people go to therapy for doing thing like that too much and I don't so maybe I am not that bad.
But if I don't have a problem with doing these thing to myself just as long I don't hurt anyone then maybe I don't need therapy.
Do you think this thinking is excessive or extreme that maybe I really do need help? sorry to bother you and thanks for any sort of response.

Brief Answer:
Think positive about yourself

Detailed Answer:
Hello thanks for asking from Health Care Magic

I can understand your concern, and I will try to help you with your thoughts

After reading all of your history I would like to tell you that don't think bad about yourself. You had bad past and there was history of abuse during childhood. You never asked help from anyone and there were many difficulties during childhood like dirty environment, poor hygiene of room etc.
Presently you have many ambivalent thinkings and as per my opinion racing thoughts with increased thinking process be it during drinking water or in weight loss. You keep yourself starving, or have bing eating behaviour even if stomach hurts. Even in events like being touched by yourself, or about telling lie to yourself etc you have some of ambivalent thinking. You never took alcohol or drugs.

As per my opinion these thinkings can be considered as normal but to some extent considering your negative past and anxieties you suffered in past you should at least consider to visit a therapist for proper counselling. As per my opinion some sessions of Cognitive Therapy will help to correct faulty cognitions and abnormal thought process if any. The thinkings are not extreme but still you can consider to visit once.

Hope this helps you, ask again with more details and if you have more doubts.

Please try to think positive about yourself, try to ignore your bad past. It was a bad phase and now you should try to move past that phase. I am sure you will be in better position after doing that.

Thanks.

I am sorry but just try to forget it and think positive about myself. . .
You don't think i have tried that, I am sorry i kind of a think that was mean to say. Really sorry but I have tried to think that way and on somedays I can't I think I am the most ugly disgusting piece of trash that is on this planet.
I feel like you saying that was a attack on my intelligence and my intelligence is only thing I like about myself. I know you were trying to help and I know it is me and not you saying that really felt hurtful
