Hello -

You wrote that the doctor put fluid in you: Do you mean she gave you an IV for dehydration, or she gave you an enema through your bottom?

If you have not had a bowel movement for 2 weeks, that would explain the gas and shortness of breath.

Have you tried anything to help so far, such as over the counter laxatives and stool softeners?
