Suggest Treatment For Corneal Injury Post An Accident

YYYY@YYYY is my email address if someone can help me. Thank you!
I'm leaving for the hospital now as i'm concerned and can't wait any longer. Thank you! 45 minutes have passed now. I better go to the hospital.
Damage to cornea is to be looked for.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
Although I am not an ophthalmologist, I feel that I am competent enough to answer your query and hence have taken it up. It appears that no ophthalmologist has been online while you posted the query and that could inadvertently have delayed the query getting answered. Probably you have already left for the hospital but in case you have not, I do not think that you need to get worried. The first thing that you need to do is to wash your eyes with plenty of water. The second thing is to stand in front of a mirror and check if there are any visible marks formed on the transparent portion of the eye (the cornea). Unless the cornea seems to have been affected you need not grow concerned. It is quite possible that the sparks have triggered some inflammation in the surrounding conjunctiva and that would have led to the redness.
Definitely a vist to a hospital will help in clarifying things further.

I appreciated your response to my inquiry. I took your advice and washed my eye and I don't see any marks. I think that everything is probably alright. If it continues to bother me i'll get more help. Thanks again!
Washing with plain water should suffice.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for writing back. if there is no visible damage you need not worry as the body has the capacity to make small repairs. Some irritation might be there and in such a case some eye drop might be required but otherwise washing frequently with plain water should suffice.
