Suggest Treatment For Erectile Dysfunction While Treating Prostate
Question: I I am an old man of 67 years age. I am having prostate and take Veltom plus along woth Repilef 8mg daily. this treatment has been happening for the last 4 years. I want to know that whether because of this I have developed ED problem and also my semen is not formed and so their is no ejaculation. I have desire to have sex, but can't have it because of ED. Do you think it is to be accepted the way it is or is there any remedy for this.

I read your query and understand your concerns.
This is possible to develop problem of erectile dysfunction due to use of Tamsulosin a component of Veltam Plus. It blocks conversion of testosterone to active testosterone (Dihydro testosterone) which is essential for growth of prostate as well as erection. Since the block with dutasteride helps prostate but at the same time this causes erection problem.
On similar lines Dutaseride (another component) causes dry ejaculation as semen get discharged in urinary bladder at the time of orgasm otherwise known as retrograde ejaculation. This occurs because it relaxes smooth muscles.
Both of these problems are probably side effect of Veltam plus.
You need not to lose hope as there are multiple options for treatment of ED.
First thing talk to your urologist to change the medication for prostate. If he is able to do so it is possible that your ED problem will be resolved.
Secondly you can use Phosphodiesterase inhibitor like SIldenafil for treatment of ED. They are quite effective and can help you even when you continue treatment with veltam plus.
