Question: The string under my tongue has an extremely painful white sore on it that came up suddenly. There is also a sore on the bottom right side of my tongue . What has caused this? I just got rid of a different sore on the bottom of my tongue that was white and so big and swollen I could feel it with my finger. That was just like maybe 3 weeks ago And I have had these for at least a week. I can barely eat it hurts so bad not just because it is extremely painful to move my tongue to eat and the food hitting my tongue hurts so bad but the entire inside of my mouth is so sensitive now that I can't eat a chilli dog with very little chilli on it without drinking two glasses of milk with it because it all of a sudden burns my mouth so bad were 3 months ago I would eat an entire can of chilli with the hotdog cut up in it. I can't eat pizza or spaghetti either. I live off chicken noodle soup, Ham and bread only sandwiches, and fruit loops. But the fruit loops have to get at least a little soggy or it hurts my tongue to bad to try to chew them. Idk what to do. Orajel burns so bad I have to rinse it out immediately because it just causes a whole more pain. I just get rid of them and then it seems like they just come right back. Not to mention the fact that within the past 3 months my teeth have went completely down hill. Every tooth in my mouth has a horrible cavity and I am constantly picking tiny pieces of tooth off my tongue and oit of my mouth. All of my front teeth are falling apart and I dont know why. It was like i got up one day around 3 or 4 months ago and I suddenly can no longer smile or people will see my discusting teeth because i also cant go get them fixed right now. I help with my son and daughters ball teams and i am constamtly feeling like people are looking at my teeth. I completely stopped voluntering at my kids school because I am to embarrassed. I use to be there almost everyday. I varely leave the house. This is the first ball season ive had my teeth like this so I realky didnt have a choice but to do what I have been doing for the past 6 years because i couldnt back out wjen i told them last year i would be back this year. Next year i will go to games but not volunteer becaise by then i wont have any teeth And i still wont be able to fix them. I have completely withdrawn from society other than ball the past 3 months. Please help me. Something has got to change. It is extremely painful to brush my teeth. I have tried every type of tooth paste there is and all of it feels like I just covered the entire inside of my mouth with acid. A lot of toothpastes even hurt my teeth like I just rubbed sugar all over them To the point I have to have a glass in the bathroom because I have to rinse my mouth out with lukewarm water for around 5 mind to make the pain stop. HELP ME PLEASE!!! TELL ME WHAT IS CAUSING THIS AND TELL ME WHAT TO DO.

Brief Answer:
aphthous ulcers, traumatic ulcer, topical medication

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
As far as the soreness below the tongue and floor of the mouth, i have two possibilities.
It can be because of the aphthous ulcer or traumatic ulcer, this can result in severe pain and burning sensation in the tongue and floor of the mouth.

The other possible cause can be any stone in the salivary gland duct, which has done damage to the mucosa in the floor of the mouth. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated.

Meanwhile you can use topical analgesic like choline salicyate and topical anesthetic like lignocaine. Do saline gargling. The lesion may heal in 5days.

These are the possible diagnosis and treatment plan, based on the description of the lesion by yourself.
If you can upload the images, i can give exact diagnosis and treatment plan.

I hope my answer will help you, take care. If any queries are there, reply me back.
