1. On its own.
2. No
3. Sometimes
4. No pain
5. No
It just happens occasionally. Have not been able to identify any pattern or anything which preceeds it.
Had a satisfactory colonoscopy last fall.
Someone suggested it could be internal hemmoroids.

Brief Answer:
Not internal hemorrhoids
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Internal hemorrhoids would have been picked up in the colonoscopy.
There are two possibilities in you
1. Rectal prolapse
2. Inadequate dietary fibre
Here is what you should do
1. I would like you to add fiber to your diet in the form of green leafy vegetables, restrict carbs, milk and milk products for a while.
2. Tab VSL#3 once a day should help you replace your gut microorganisms with good helpful bacteria. Take once tablet daily for 15 days
3. If the symptoms does not improve then please approach a surgeon to rule out prolapse
I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
