Suggest Treatment For Fever Along With Headaches And Lower Back Pain
It is a viral exanthematous fever
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam
The viral exanthematous fever presents with fever,cough/cold,redness of eyes followed by rash. The rashes are red pin point with a typical distribution on the body. There are so many viruses causing this condition. The common viruses are Coxsackievirus(HFMD),Enterovirus(HFMD),Rubeola virus(Measles), Varicella virus(Chicken pox) and Rubella virus(Rubella).
Few bacterial infection(scarlet fever) can also present with similar symptom.
The each virus has a characteristic fever and rash pattern.
I have gone through the attached picture. I would like to rule out Chicken pox in view of the fever with rash within 36 hours and the pattern of distribution of rash(mainly on the trunk less on the face and limbs). Few of the rashes appear to be fluid filled this is also very much suggestive of Chicken pox.
I have one query
Are the rashes itchy?
There is no specific treatment for any viral exanthematous fever. Symptomatic management like antipyratic, calamine lotion and antihistaminic(if the lesions are itchy).
I would suggest you to consult a physician for proper evaluation (as there may be overlapping of symptoms between the various disease) and management accordingly.
I would be glad to answer if you have further query

Although chance of immunodeficiency is low get an immune profile done
Detailed Answer:
Hello
The Hand foot mouth disease characteristically involves palm, soles and around the oral cavity. The involvement of trunk and leg excluding the palm and soles is very unlikely in HFMD. The type of rashes in HFMD and chicken pox is almost same.In view of the pattern of distribution and past history of HFMD, it appeared to me like chicken pox.
Recurrent infection by same virus is uncommon but can occur. Any viral infection stimulates the immune system of body to develop antibodies against that particular virus.
But as you were told the diagnosis of HFMD after clinical examination of the baby, now the diagnosis is recurrent HFMD.
Sometimes due to immunodeficiency there may be recurrent infection. In immunodeficiency bacterial infections are much more common than viral infection. Some special immunodeficiency (Like subclass IgG deficiency) may cause viral infection.
I would suggest you to get an immune profile done after consulting your physician.
