Suggest Treatment For Fever In A Child
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: My granddaughter is 3-1/2 and visiting with us. She has an armpit temp of 103. I do not believe her mom has established her with a pediatrician. Is there an XXXXXXX OH pediatrician we oould take her to today? I believe our granddaughter may have a bacterial infection from drinking swimming pool water yesterday afternoon at a neighbor's pool. THey are out of town and so the pool probably was not chemically treated for at least 5 days. Thank you for your help. XXXXXXX XXXX YYYY
Brief Answer:
bactrial infection likely
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
You can take her to acron children's hospital or to Dr XXXXXXX Congeni.
I too feel it could be a bacterial pharyngitis.
She will need a course of antibiotics like amoxicillin.
Ensure she drinks plenty of water
