Suggest Treatment For Focusing Issues While On Topamax
Read below.
Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.
I am not sure what would you be hoping to achieve by increasing the Topamax dosage though. You do not mention what you are using it for, but I am assuming it has been prescribed to prevent epileptic seizures (at times for migraine prevention). So if you have been seizure free then it has been effective enough and no need to increase the dosage. 400 mg is the maximum dose, but we always try to use the lowest possible dose, the lower the fewer side effects. Increasing it may actually affect negatively your performance.
So unless there is some other info you can provide I would not increase it. Actually if you are seizure free for a long time might even consider reducing Topamax or interrupting Depakote since you are taking it at a very low dosage. It may cause focus issues and at only 500 mg I wonder if it is doing much for seizure prevention anyway, usually higher dosages are used.
I remain at your disposal for other questions.
