Suggest Treatment For Gestational Diabetes
You should not worry about single reading.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
After going through your question, I can understand your concern.
I really appreciate your efforts toward diabetes control.
Whatever the blood sugar level readings you have mentioned are absolutely in acceptable range.
Keep following diet as advised by your dietician.
Glucometer measure capillary blood sugar not venous blood sugar (venous blood sugar is measured in lab).
Glucometer readings guide you regarding your blood sugar control, they don't give absolute blood sugar level.
There may be variation in readings from glucometer to glucometer.
You should cross check your glucometer reading with actual lab test.
As all your blood sugar readings are in acceptable range except that of 162 and which turn to 132 after 5 min, you should not worry about it.
If your readings persistently goes out of range consult your diabetologist.
Hope I have answered your question.
I will be happy to answer your follow up questions if any.
Otherwise you can close the question and rate the answer.
Regards,
Dr. Abhay Mali.
