Question: I have a sharp constant pain on left side of head. Its different than the headache I get when my blood pressure is high. The pain started about 10 days ago. My face is swelling on the left side for the past couple days. Should I go to ER or wait for my appointment in 3 days?

My opinion is that,your headache and facial swelling may be due to increased blood pressure, Maigraine or any inflammation. I suggest you to check the blood pressure once.

Facial swelling suggests that there may be a chance for kidney disease. Kindly upload the photograph of the swelling.

If you are not allergic or have any kidney issues you can take aceclofenac or ibuprofen tablets for 2 days and get an appointment after 2 days.
