Suggest Treatment For High Blood Sugar Levels Despite Taking Glyburide
About Diabetes treatment;
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I have gone through your concern.
Glyburide is a class of antidiabetics medications that can cause hypoglycemia or low blood sugar ( under 70 mg/dl). So before increasing the dose you need to check the HbA1c level ( the median glucose level of the last three months), the fasting and postprandial blood sugar, the renal function.
If the HbA1c level is higher than 7% the dose may be increased ( if there is no risk for hypoglycemia) or another tablet may be added.
Some more info regarding your weight ( if you have put on or losst weight during the last months), diet and physical activity is also necessary.
So i would recommend to give some more information about the lifestyle of the last three months and check HbA1c, fasting and postprandial blood glucose, Bun and creatinemia.
Will be a pleasure to suggest about the treatment after the above results.
Kind Regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
