detailed below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

The medication depends mostly form the cause of your symptoms.

Foo minor to moderate pain you can use an non-steroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAIDs) like Ibuprofen ,Paracetamol (Tylenol ).These also can be used in children to treat inflammatory pain, fever.Never use Aspirin to treat a fever in children.

To treat itching ,oral antihistamines are used often. Some over the counter options include Loratadine (Claritin) or cetirizine (Zyrtec). These drugs usually don't cause drowsiness.
Benadryl is another option but it can make you sleepy and it is prefered if cases of insomnia or if the itchiness keeps you awake at night. For this reason it is taken at bedtime.

For children these drugs can be used to treat hives, itching or seasonal allergy symptoms, insect bites or stings. They are not recommended and should not be given to children under 6 months.
A children of 2 years can give Cetirizine or Loratadine 5 ml (1 tsp) once a day at bedtime.
Benadryl is given every 6 hours and the dosage depends on the children's weight.

Hope this helps.
