Suggest Treatment For Kidney Stones
My mom has been operated in August for a Kidney stone of size 21mm. She was treated through CCNA procedure.
Ever since she is experiencing a lot of gas - specially in the mornings. Is this normal? should she take some medication for the same.
Thanks and reegards,
XXXX
Please clarify in detail about CCNA procedure.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your mother has undergone surgery for removal of Kidney stone .
I shall be happy if you can post me few more details to help me in making comments on your problem.
As far as my knowledge concerned I know only following three procedures that are practised all over the world for treatment of kidney stones.
1) PCNL (Per Cutaneous Nephro Lithotomy )
2) ESWL (Extra Corporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy.)
3) Open Surgery.
For the first time I have heard of the procedure CCNA for kidney stone .I shall be happy if you can highlight about the long form of the procedure and if possible few points about this procedure.
As regards problem of flatulence she has since surgery ,this could be mostly due to drug induced gastritis which is very common in elderly patients.
Please give her H2 receptor antagonist (Antacids) like Pantaprozole twice daily along with anti flatulent drugs like Enzar forte twice daily after meals ,
Hope I have answered your query. Please feel free to write if you have more questions I shall be happy to help you .
Thanks and Regards .
