Please get X rays of knees and lower back to look for advanced arthritis, see an Orthopedician.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing into health care magic.
This is Dr.Riyanka, glad to answer your query.

LORSAID tab contains lornoxicam which is a pain reliever Nonsteroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drugs (NSAIDs)
NATOFER is given for general well being
ROCKBON D tab is calcium supplement
LUBRIJOINT 500 contains glucosamine which is a substance present in cartilages

Osteoarthritis is a condition that is due to degeneration of cartilage layer with erosions and subchondral cyst formations at bone surfaces in the joints. There can also be extra bone growth at the ends of bones called osteophyte formation. Osteo arthritis is a slow progressive condition and at 62 years of age, it is important to know the exact osteoarthritis changes that have occurred in the knee joints of your mother. This can be known by doing X ray of knee joints. For accurate results the X ray should be done of both knees with AP and LATERAL views. The X ray should be taken in standing position to know the knee joint space reductions if any.

After getting the X rays, you need to consult the Orthopedician if there is advanced osteoarthritis changes in knee joints.

For the back pain, another X ray of LUMBOSACRAL SPINE in AP and LATERAL views is required. This will show any extra bone formation in lower back or disc space narrowing or slipping of vertebrae and if it is significant.

She can continue taking the medications under medical supervision and they are for her good health.

Even in advanced knee joint arthritis, many people lead near normal life after knee joint replacements.

At elderly age, it is better to use ointments containing muscles relaxants and pain relievers and oral pain medications are best used only if there is severe pain and only under instructions of your doctors.

If there are any more clarifications, kindly write back to me.
If you are satisfied with my reply, kindly close the query and leave a feed back.
You will get well soon. Please don't worry.
Thank you,
Dr.Riyanka
