Brief Answer:
Neurological involvement to consider.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Brisk gait started almost suddenly may indicate hypereeflexia, or problems with nerves in your spinal cord or brain ( upper motor neurons involved ).

Starting after a viral infection may indicate involvement of spinal cord by conditions such transverse myelitis, but, since there is lightheadedness, conditions such increased intracranial pressure should be considered too.

Getting evaluated by a Neurologist is the first step in understanding better your condition.

Imaging studies such MRI of brain and spinal cord may be necessary as well.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Take care.
