Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I understand your concern and would explain that your blood pressure values are really low.

For this reason, I would recommend you to stop taking carvedilol. It is important avoiding physical activity or prolonged standing up position because of the risk of fainting.

I would also recommend increase salt and caffeine intake and take plenty of fluids to remain well hydrated.

If these low blood pressure values persist, I recommend consulting with your doctor for a careful physical exam and some tests to investigate for the possible underlying causes:

- a chest X ray study
- a resting ECG and a cardiac ultrasound to evaluate your cardiac function and structure
- complete blood count for anemia
- blood electrolytes for possible electrolyte imbalance
- kidney and liver function tests
- fasting glucose.

Meanwhile, I recommend you to have some rest and closely monitor your blood pressure. A coffee would help.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
