Suggest Treatment For Low Grade Fever With Indigestion
Question: Low grade fever with indigestion, sore lungs that is worsened by infrequent(thankfully) coughing. Very little mucus. No runny or stuffed nose. Some aches and pains in neck, back and shoulders that comes and goes. Very weak and fatigued. No appetite. Mild headache. Also concerned that I vacuumed up rodent droppings in my attic about 3 weeks ago. I know they were not fresh, at least a year old. Not sure if from rat or mouse as there was no active infestation.
Currently taking Metformin 500mg 2/day, phentermine 37.5 once per day. Daily Vitamin C, multi-vitamin, probiotics and B-12.

Brief Answer:
Seems mild viral infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.
I am Dr Rakesh Sharma answering your query.
I can understand your concern.
You seem to be suffering from viral infection, a mild one.
In my opinion your symptoms are not associated with cleaning of rodent dropping ,as it is about 3 weeks back.
Hope your blood sugar is within normal limits, though it is unlikely that change in blood sugar level , may not be responsible for your present symptom.
I suggest you to try following combination,
1. Tab Pantoprazole
2. Tab Ibuprofen.
3. Cetirizine
4. Steam inhalation.
5. Warm saline gargle.
You should feel improved in about 3 days time.
Hope I have answered your query.
If any thing else you are welcome.
Good luck.

thank you. my blood sugar is good. I am not diabetic. my Dr put me on Metformin for weight loss as I eat a very healthy diet with no sugars and no refined carbohydrates but my fasting sugars were 111 and A1C was 6.3. he said I have metabolic resistance? my sugars on Metformin stay lower than 80 most of the time. I have 20 lbs of excess weight I can't seem to lose with diet and exercise, so he put me on Metformin and Phentermine.
I no longer have the fever since I took 2 ibuprofen.
