Question: In need of some assistance with a lump I discovered on the roof of my mouth last week. in July I kissed a young woman and became sick, I slowly recovered from many illness, but now discovered a lump in my mouth. I've been worried that it may be cancer.
1.) the lump is hard, on the right side of hard palate and painless
2.) there is some on and off hoarseness in voice. (I recently came from a crazy trip in XXXXXXX so the hoarseness may be due to all the screaming and laughter I had on the trip)
3.) my throat is somewhat sore, and has been this way for a few months Now but doctor told me that it was nothing to worry about
4.) there are no lumps on neck, nose, or head

Brief Answer:
Cancer is rare.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Cancer is rare in that area at the age of 26.
It looks like an inflammatory swelling.
Please consult your Dental surgeon and get examined clinically.
Hoarseness is due to voice over usage. It will be relieved after voice rest.
Sore throat can occur due to simple upper respiratory tract infection.
Initially, I prescribe Antibiotic like Clindamycin capsule 600mg thrice daily along with anti inflammatory tablet to my patients with similar complaints.
If there is no response, further investigations have to be done.
Hence, I request you to consult your Dental surgeon and proceed.
Hope I answered your query.
If you have any questions, I will clarify further.
Wish you good health.
Regards
