Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern.
Etoricoxib is a selective COX 2 inhibitor, Its an NSAID ( pain medication ).
The ulcers you have described are most likely aphthous ulcers. If it is the first incidence of such ulcers having appeared then you need not worry. Apply Bonjela gel containing keratolytic and mildly antiseptic salicylic acid in the form of its salt choline salicylate and the antiseptic cetalkonium chloride. Use a good mouth wash such as NIFLAM or PROTECT. Maintain oral hygiene and avoid spicy food. Most probably the ulcers will heal spontaneously.
If the ulcers have been recurrent or if they persist despite the above treatment then a course of folic acid, vitamin B complex vitamins and Doxycycline needs to be undertaken.
You mentioned inflammation due to uric acid, Besides joint pains a good marker for that would be a CRP ( C reactive Protein ) and/or ESR ( Erythrocyte sedimentation rate ). If these are elevated in a diagnosed patient of gout then a week of Ibuprofen or diclofenac sodium with PPI cover should be started in place of etoricoxib which you could not tolerate as well.
Serum uric acid levels are just for long term monitoring with allopurinol therapy to avoid fluctuation in its levels and an elevated level alone doesn't signify inflammation.
