Suggest Treatment For Nausea, Leg Pain And Poor Appetite
Please attach the reports
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query
I would like to know if there is
1)Any associated symptoms like fever, weight loss, easy fatiguability, yellowish discoloration of skin or urine
2)Any history of recent past illness
The common causes of poor appetite in this age is liver dysfunction, any recent illness in recovery, low hemoglobin, gastritis or flatulence causing disliking of food. The pain in leg may be due to vitamin D or calcium deficiency.
I would like to get hemoglobin, serum Vit D,calcium liver function and kidney function test done to find out the underlying cause.
If there is no significant associated symptom and all these reports are normal I won't get overly worried.
I would request you to provide me detailed clinical history with the investigation reports so that I better able to help you out.
Waiting for your follow up.
Regards
The poor appetite may be due to the recent illness
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for the follow up
The loss of appetite may be due to the recent illness. In this condition appetite usually improves within a week.Give him what he want to eat.Make the diet energy dense so that the required calorie could be met even after consuming small amount. You can add supplement to the milk.
Also give him multivitamin syrup as this helps in recovery by acting at cellular level.I won't get overly worried in the current situation and encourage him for better oral intake.I don't think it is related to any remote illness history or tour.
If you have any more query I shall be glad to answer.
