Detailed Answer:
Hello, it is common to have such a feeling after episiotomy (cutting of vagina and skin for widening of orifice to deliver the baby).
The gap between anus and vagina decreases to a variable extent and will normalize to some extent eventually after healing.
The stinging sensation during passage of stools and even during the passage of flatus is common but in case this feeling increases or it bleeds then get her examined by her gynecologist.
Till then take some antiinflammatory drug like ibuprofen or diclofenac thrice a day with meals for 3 days so as to make the wound heal at the earliest.
Take care.
