Question: My right eye turned very red about a week ago and my left eye followed about 2 days the symptoms are not as extreme as in my right eye. I have had a lot of tearing clear/white discharge around my eye as well as crusting whenever I wake up. My right eyelids are very sensitive and feel extremely painful like there is a lot of bruising in the eye. The right eye is also very sensitive to light. I can see what large white spots on the insides of the eyelids, it looks almost like dead skin. I'm not sure if this is pus or maybe the old conjunctiva coming off. I am wondering if this is an extreme case of viral pink eye or something more serious because of the intense pain and redness in my right eye. The large white spots on the inside of my eyelids and discharge also have me concerned. Thank you for your response.
