Not sure how long the swelling has been there maybe a couple of days it does hurt when I move itbut no itching. I dont think it was any trauma. My other ear hurts some too but not like this one. I thought it was from my glasses but someone told me it could not be related. There is no discharge but i do also have a cold so I do have a low grade fever.

Hello again
Based on this description, otitis externa is unlikely. The external auditory canal needs to be examined to look for any debris. It should be dry cleaned and if the need be an ear wick can be placed there.
Most probably , its an insect bite. Topical calamine lotion should be applied. Oral NSAIDs like ibuprofen and antihistamines such as hydroxyzine should be advised for the associated inflammation.
In case a high grade fever develops then oral amoxicillin clavulanate can be added to this regimen. For now the above will suffice.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
