Suggest Treatment For Pain In Knee While Climbing Stairs
The issue is that i ran around 6km slow pace on road last week. I rarely run so long. Not much happened after that run.
However yesterday on gym treadmill as soon as i completed 4km run, my knee started paining. It was worse when i was climbing down the stairs of gym. But the pain was gone once i reached home.
I observed that this knee pain starts when i run or climb stairs up / down otherwise it is not there. However, due to this i am not able to do my workout.
The pain is located on right side just below the knee.
What has happened and what medicine should i take to cure it.
nothing to worry about
Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
How was your day?
Hope this message finds you in good health.
I have gone through your query in detail and understand your concern.
this condition is called bicipital tendinitis., its a kind of tendon inflammation on the right side of knees. this usually occurs due to overuse of the tendon which is usually not accustomed for such overuse.
the 6 km run that you had last week, has caused that inflammation. this tendon is used more during climbing downstairs so you get the pain during climbing down.
the inflammation is temporary. and gradually goes away once you take proper rest.
avoid treadmill and workouts or using stairs for atleast 15 days.
take anti inflammatory tablets and use compression bandage with local gel and hot fomentation.
You should eventually get back to normal in coming few days.Nothing to worry about.
I hope your question has been answered.
