Suggest Treatment For Pain In The Toe Joint When Diagnosed With Plantar Fasciitis

Question: I am a 62 year old male. I have a case of plantar fasciaitis. I wear orthodics and have high arches. I have been working on demolishing our bathroom for the last week mainly tearing up tile on the floor and walls and carrying heavy buckets down of plaster, lath, and tile down a flight of stairs. Last night my toe joint began to hurt. I have a slight case of arthritits but haven't ever experienced pain like this in the joint. I can't put on a shoe or sock. It doesn't look swollen. It throbs and hurts to move the joint. I have been using ibuprofen and ice. Any other ideas?
