Suggest Treatment For Painful And Enlarged Tonsil
Question: I had a pain and enlarged tonsil for a few days on the right side (not sure if it might be connected with the dentist visit and root canal on the same side a day before it started), The throat was a bit iritated but was already feeling better. Today after having a sandwich i look into the throat and noticed - kind of small node/tube sticking out right from the tonsil with white coming out of it - touching the uvula. Really worried what this might be?

With enlarged tonsill and white discharge coming out possibility of Tobsillar abscess is there. However it is usually associated with high grade fever
Even after root canal treatment possibility of dental abscess is also there
In such conditions I advise after detail examination good antibiotics like Augmentin. For fever Paracetamol can be taken. We also advise betadine gargles.
You should visit back your dentist and let him be sure that this is not procedure related infection.
