Question : Hi. I have a painful lump on rt side of thyroid. Symptoms are ear and neck pain. Insomnia, hoarseness, uncomfortable lying on left side. Waves of cold then hot

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You seem to have thyroiditis, it can be add on to the existing thyroid problem. MEantime you can get the Blood counts done where there may be raise in WBC. This may be infection as well. You can take simple over the counter ADVIL/MOTRIN to relieve the pain.

Let the scan and other blood report come. This is generally temporary and the waves of hot and cold exist.
