Question: 7 day course of Flagyl had no affect on BV. Just finished 2 days of Tinidazole. Significant improvement but still problem. Can i take 2 more days of Tinidazole?

if you are taking 1gm dose, you should take it for 5 days.....

I took 2gm per day for 2 days... (Last dose was yesterday). And i have 8 more 500 mg pills. I should keep taking 1 gm per day... For 4 more days?

If there has been no effect then it is a mixed infection and you may continue flagyl to complete the course and add clingen vaginal pessary to be applied at night for next 6 days.

I am boarding a flight for Asia in the morning so have no time to get a new RX. all i have with me is a RX for tinidazole. (Eight 500 mg pills) All I want to know if it will be safe for me to keep taking the tinidazole and will it help? I also have diflucan i can take for yeast

thanks for the follow up.
you can take tinidazole which can cover up anaerobes and gm negative organisms ...twice a day for 4 days.
Also you may take diflucan 150mg stat..as antifungal which should help in case of mixed infection .
