Brief Answer:
For how long has this being going on?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks for contacting us at healthcare magic.

Dealing with diarrhea requires that we at least establish what the possible cause it. TO help establish this, kindly provide responses to the following questions.

1. For how long has it been going on?
2. Is there any mucus or Blood in your stools?
3. How often do you go to the toilet?
4. DO you have any abdominal pains, fever?

These would help me narrow down the list of possibilities and propose treatment options. However, all cases of diarrhea require that you drink much fluids to compensate for this. While waiting for specific directives on whether antibiotics or anti-diarrheal medications may be needed or not, drink as much fluids as possible to avoid dehydration.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me and ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Waiting on your responses to provide more insights and definitive statements as well.

Thank you for your time.
This has gone on for four days.
There is blood in my stools.
Until today I went to the toilet every 15 or 20 minutes?
I have occasional abdominal cramps. No fever.
I will say that things seem to have settled down this morning with only one trip to the toilet over the last three hours?

Brief Answer:
If there is still blood in the morning, then you need a stool exam!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thanks for the responses. I will observe as things seem to be getting better. However, if blood persists in the morning, then you will need to do a stool exams. This is because it might signal a possible infection that we need to treat with antibiotics. In the mean time, drinking much fluids is the best strategy. Only dehydration kills and not diarrhea.

Keep me posted first thing tomorrow morning. I wish you well and look forward hearing from you!
