Suggest Treatment For Persistent Menstrual Cramps

default
Posted on Tue, 10 Jan 2017
Question: Hi, I missed my period but there is no way I could be pregnant. Unless its immaculate conception... But I keep getting menstrual cramps. I run all the time. However the last two times I ran, the menstrual cramps got so bad I had to stop because I was light headed and felt nauseous. Although the menstrual cramps are there, there is no bleeding. I am also very bloated in the lower abdomen. Plus when I was running I just felt like I couldn't get enough oxygen. Any idea what this could be?

Brief Answer:
Can be due to impending period.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The feeling of bloating and cramps could be due to impending period. Feeling light headed and nauseous can be due to gastritis or intestinal cramps. It can also be associated with dehydration , stress, improper diet, anaemia, etc. It is best to wait for a few days more and see if the bleeding starts.
You can concentrate on having a healthy diet with more of fluids and see if it helps.
