I read your question and i understand your concern. Phimosis once develops is very difficult to treat conservatively. As it leads to adhesions and painful coitus. However there is no harm in trying conservative options.
Topical antibiotics, hydrocortisone creams , manual reduction of foreskin , smegma washing with saline water , osmotic reduction and vertical incision are some of the alternative options for therapeutic circumcision.
