Suggest Treatment For Premature Ejaculation
Question: Hi, I am 41 years old. I am overall fit and having no issues of Blood Pressure, Blood Sugar or any thing. I have issues of Premature Ejaculation since last few months. Also I need at least 24 hours time between the two inter course. Please advise accordingly. I am taking Finax 1 Mg for treating Male pattern Baldness since long.

I can understand your concern. You are 41 years old healthy male with no medical complications. There are two main issues which are you facing-
- Premature ejaculation
- Extended time between two intercourses or reduced libido
Premature ejaculation is one of important distressing psychosexual complaint. A lot of males suffer premature ejaculation due to anxiety. If the anxiety during intercourse is relieved they have extended time during intercourses. So I'd advise you to remain relaxed during intercourse and this will help a lot in delaying the time. Try to divert your attention during intercourses and this will also delay the time. If by relaxation time doesn't improve then medicines like SSRIs can help. Paroxetine or Sertraline if taken regularly can help to delay the ejaculation time. Newer SSRI drug like Dapoxetine can also help in delaying the ejaculation time. Dapoxetine is also an SSRI drug and if taken about half to one hour before intercourse the drug helps to delay ejaculation time. The drug can be used on SOS basis also. Please consult a psychiatrist for detailed prescription of these drugs. Don't remain worried about this thing, the time would increase with proper medicines.
Coming to your problems of reduced libido. Finax or Finasteride used in male pattern baldness is known to cause poor libido and reduction in levels of sex hormones. If the drug use can be avoided and other drug like Minoxedil can be used then that would be a good thing. Please consult your dermatologist and discuss about the sexual side effects you are having. Ask for substitution of drug if needed.
