Suggest Treatment For Pyogenic Granuloma

Question: Hi, there. I have an ingrown toenail and skin has started to grow over the top right side of my right foot's large toenail. I already took off the large scab covering it, but inside there is red flesh that has grown over the nail. Is this a problem I can take care off at home? If not, what can a doctor do? I live in a foreign country and it's possible that I may have to give the local doctors some suggestions.

Brief Answer:
Pyogenic granuloma

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
It is looking like pyogenic granuloma a vascular abnormality affecting nail folds.
It needs to be treated with radio frequency laser.
Please meet a dermatologist and get it removed.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.

Thanks very much for your reply.

I went to the hospital and they said that my ingrown toenail was infected and that the best way to solve the problem was to remove the nail. After removing the nail, they discovered that the part of the nail under the red flesh had become black. They also removed the infected red flesh. In a few months time, a new, healthy nail will grow out.

Once again, thanks for your opinion. I hope my follow-up comment can also be of use to you.
