Suggest Treatment For Rheumatoid Arthritis And Fibromyalgia
Question: Hi, I was diagnosed with rhematoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, ibs and cyatica 3yrs ago. I would like to know how bad it will get and also how it will affect me during menopause
Brief Answer:
Cant be predicted.
Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,
Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that this cannot be predicted as every individual reacts differently to these diseases . But still if you are RF and Anti CCP antibodies positive the prognosis is bad . Ageing and menopause doesnt have any relation with rheumatoid arthritis . But yes your fibromyalgia can worsen with menopause due to hormonal shifts .Regarding sciatica , as degenerative changes progress with age it may worsen or remain constant even .
Hope I have answered all your questions. Any other query I will be happy to answer .
Take care.
