Suggest Treatment For Severe Headaches
Question: I'm 40 years of age a women in good health and I believe I've had a severe headache/migraine last night when going to bed and it woke me up at 3am with the worst headache pain I ever had on the left side temple right behind my eye.Tired to take ibuprofen and drank some water and Gatorade to help with the pain and maybe any dehydration, however 10 min later I vomited everything water Gatorade and ibuprofen. I usually don't get headaches often nor do I vomit so this has me concerned. Body temperature is normal 98.9. This morning I stayed home from work as I have a slight heaveniess throbbing feeling behind the same eye but not as painful.Any insight will help towards the next step of action needed. Thank You!
Brief Answer:
Medical evaluation is necessary ASAP.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
Changes in headaches type and worst headache ever may point to subarachnoidal hemorrhage, so, in my opinion, you should see a Neurologist ASAP, or you should get evaluated at your ER about this condition even to exclude it.
Disorders that may cause subarachnoidal hemorrhage include brain aneurysms, vascular malformations, etc.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Take care.
