Suggest Treatment For Severe Infection, Fallopian Abscess And Painful Defecation

I had a left laproscopic salpingectomy in january 2014 after an infection in my fallopian tube, that resulted in an abscess because hospital didn't treat infection properly. (Severe infection, fallopian abcess, bowel stuck to tube, nearly lost section of bowel)
Pre-surgeries, my periods used to be normal 6-7days long, now are 2days maximum… & my biggest problem is, I get random stabbing pains, usually on the left, sometimes radiating across stomach, across lower back.
Sometimes as I'm emptying bowel or bladder, the pain is so bad that I can't straighten up, stand, walk..Sometimes 10minutes before I can move again. One or two days before period also gets bad, frequent stabbing pains, also when using toilet etc
I'm worried but due to doctors & hospital here, being very indifferent to patients, & negligent, I'm very hesitant to go back…
The pain you are suffering is due to adhesions.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
I am Dr Ramadevi Wani. I will be answering your concerns today.
It is sad that you had to undergo these surgeries. The stabbing pain what you get is most probably because of the adhesions (band of scar tissue between different organs in the abdomen) formed in the abdomen due to infection and surgeries.
These adhesions pull on nerves and sometimes make intestine to partially twist on itself. This is causing pain to you. Usually these symptoms due to adhesions improve with time. As being used by you already use painkillers during the pain.
Regular exercises and yoga really help in reducing the severity of such pain. So please start these gradually. You may try massage too.
Do not worry about the reduction in the number of days of bleeding as long as you are having regular periods. Anaemia and thyroid disease can reduce the bleeding. So just check your hemoglobin to see if you have anaemia. Get a thyroid hormone test done too.
The worsening of pain before period is again because of adhesions. Take Mefenamic acid 500mg three times daily when this period pain starts.
I hope this helps.
If you have further concerns, i will be happy to answer.
