Suggest Treatment For Severe Pain In The Knee
Question: I suddenly developed a great deal of pain in my left knee. An MRI showed a torn cartilage , stress fracture and arthritis. The degree of pain varies significantly.
Brief Answer:
May need surgical repair.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
A torn cartilage if it is more than a partial thickness tear then needs a surgical repair. Stress fracture can heal with rest and cast. Depends on the location of fracture. Avoid weight bearing on the joint till then.
I hope this answers your query.
