Brief Answer:
Evaluation by orthopedic surgeon, anti-inflammatory medicines, physical ther

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Wish good luck for your dads health..
Rotator cuff pain has good remedies-he may show to a orthopedic or shoulder specialist and seek advice for anti-inflammatory-pain medicines like diclofenac/naproxen.
Depending on clinical findings, often surgeons prescribe infilteration with cortisone into the affected tissue.
But assessment for extent of cuff pathology has to be evaluated early.
Mild to moderate disease heals well with medicines, mild exercise ,physical therapy.
Severe ones do require surgery occassionaly
With best wishes,

Regards
