Question: Recovery from allergy from amoxicillin for colitis( severa reaction
Lower left leg is responding to at last. 3 course. Of ciprophoxacin
Leg is dressed each day since 1aug 2015
Invadine too strong. Using Jelnet instead but pan level Aprox. 6out of 10
Can you advise

Thanks for your query.

Your query is very sketchy. What I could gather is that you have 2 problems. One is a colitis, for which you took amoxicillin and had allergy to that. It is recovering at present.

Another problem is that you had an ulcer in left leg, for which you are doing dressing and taken ciprofloxacin. It is also responding but pain is severe. You have not mentioned the cause of this ulcer (trauma, diabetes, varicose veins, etc).

I think you should get swab culture from the ulcer which will help us to guide antibiotic therapy. For pain several options are available. First we start with paracetamol, then if required ibuprofen or tramadol. If still not controlled then morphine group of drugs. I am sure these meds can control your pain when applied properly.
