Brief Answer:
Seems to be sinusitis.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that you are having fullness in nose. I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any sequence of sneezes followed by running nose ?
Is there any post nasal drip ( sinus secretions trickling back into throat) ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

Based on your clinical details, it appears to be sinusitis secondary to allergic rhinitis.

As such, allergic rhinitis, with out treatment, can induce complications like sinusitis, allergic polyp and asthma.

I suggest you to to consult ent surgeon and get detailed ent examination, blood tests (absolute eosinophilic count, serum IgE). If necessary CT scan of para nasal sinuses. Depending on the examination reports further treatment is required accordingly.

Mean time, do steam inhalation (to clear secretions from sinuses), avoid freezer products (curd/ice creams), avoid exposure to environmental dust and strong odours ( kitchen smells, deodorants). continue same nasal spray.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions.

Wishing you good health.

I definately have post nasal drip
I just found out that I can take MucinexD twice daily

It will take me forever to get a consult with ENT - I'm concerned that my IM/PCP will not call levaquin for me to help me at least feel better now

My husband went to ENT and was put on 3 weeks of levaquin?

I'm thinking about going to one of those Emergent care facilities - this is ridiculous!

Any additional feedback? You have been wonderful?
Should I be real, real concerned (I'm a hypochondriac - LOL)

Thanks,
XXXX

Brief Answer:
Needs blood tests.

Detailed Answer:

Hello again,

Thanks for considering my answer and for your follow up.

Post nasal drip confirms sinusitis. Do not take mucinex- d and tab. livaquin 500 mg more than 5 days (once daily).

Kindly go ahead for the instructions and investigations, what I have already mentioned.

Hope, I have answered your query.

Take care.
