Hello and welcome,

If you are no longer having sinus problems and excessive throat mucus, and its been awhile since you've been off of them and the symptoms haven't returned, then there is no need to restart taking these medications.

If your symptoms return, and if Claritin and Flonase helped you in the past, you can restart them. And after using the Flonase for a couple of weeks, sometimes its possible to decrease from daily use to every other day.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if I can provide further information or clarification.

While Flonase needs to be taken as an ongoing thing for it to work, Claritin can be used just as needed. It doesn't require regular use for it to start working.

If your symptoms are gone though, you likely don't need either.

Detailed Answer:
Flonase is unlikely to cause tiredness, but the Claritin, which is an antihistamine, certainly can. Any antihistamine can cause sedation.

Are your sinuses/throat ok to just use the Flonase? Maybe you won't need to take the Claritin.

Thank you for writing back just now. I saw your previous question but due to some mix up on the part of HCM, there was no option for me to reply. (We are only able to reply in response to a question but for whatever reason, this didn't happen.)

Now about your stomach feeling upset, you wrote that it happens 5-6 hours later. Do you mean 5-6 hours after taking the Claritin and Flonase or after eating certain foods?

Lactose intolerant 5-6hours after I eat something with dairy products my lower stomach turns bad hurts until I pass on the toilet, can the lactose pill help me not hurting so bad

Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Taking lactase (the enzyme that breaks down lactose) can help if taken before having dairy products. Most people who are lactose intolerant still have some naturally occurring lactase enzyme in their gut, but not enough. Then when they eat/drink foods with lactose, it is too much lactose for the amount of lactase they have. So taking additional lactase can help.
