Question : I have a hole in the roof of my mouth, have been fighting a sinus infection since before thanksgiving
Brief Answer:
Small hole is normal
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns.
You have had a sinus infection and currently being treated. Since treatment you noticed a hole in the roof of the mouth. This is from not complete closure of the bones of the hard palate. This comes evident when taking antibiotics and prednisone as they reduce swelling and this widens the hole making it noticeable. I can say this because I also have the same thing. This is normal and nothing to be concerned about.
