Suggest Treatment For Soft, Passing Warm Sensation On My Lower Left Abdomen

Question: Hello. I am male, 61 years old. For the past two days I have felt a soft, passing warm sensation on my lower left abdomen, 45% below the navel, 45% above my groin area. The feeling comes and goes and is faint, peaking for a second and then going away. There s no pain to speak of, but a dull sensation in the area that gets my attention. I am not taking any medicines right now. Do you know what it could be?
Brief Answer:
It appears to be gas.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.
Looking at the symptoms, my opinion is as follows:
1. It appears to be gas.
2. Possibly due to low fiber diet and increased ferementing bacteria.
3. Chew food properly. Take yoghurt or other probiotics to improve normal commensal gut bacteria. Add more fiber into your diet.
Eat nutritional diet and do moderate exercises.
This should help. However, if there is any change in consistency or frequency of stools, further investigation with ultrasound abdomen or/ and colonoscopy may be necessary.
At present nothing to worry.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
