Question : I have had a sore throat for over a week and I am losing my voice. I am also being treated for RA and Mitochondrial Disease.

Dear Madam,

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I think you need urgent evaluation , there is a possibility that your your cricoarytenoid joint is being involved because of Rheumatoid arthritis , that is leading to hoarseness of voice. Also we need to see if you are not developing hypothyroidism which can lead to all this . You will need to see an ENT specialist for the same .
