Suggest Treatment For Subconjunctival Hemorrhage

Question: Hi, Two days ago after showering, I injured my right eye while splashing on after shave and with my pinky nail slit through the clear protective coat of my eye enabling a ruptured capillary.
As a result at least 1/4 of the white is covered with blood, and now a yellowish substance has developed in between the blooded area. could this be an infection or part of a natural self healing process?
PS. I am Diabetic. Thank you.

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

From your description I can understand you had an subconjunctival hemorrhage .
Both options are possible.
If it is an infection the affected area would be red,with secretions and painful.
Most likely it is the normal process of healing.The blood in your eye is metabolized and for this reason it changes the color into blue and yellow.
It is difficult to say without examining your eye.
I would like to have a look at the injured eye.

Your eye doesn't look inflamed so it isn't infection.
In my opinion it is just subconjunctival hemorrhage .This occurs when a tiny blood vessel breaks just underneath the clear surface of your eye .
It may look scary but usually it is a harmless condition that disappears within one or two weeks.
It doesn't require a specific treatment.

You don't need to worry.Your eye will be just fine in 1-2 weeks.
