Brief Answer:
Seems to be a ligament sprain

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting the query.

I have gone through your question and the attached photograph.

I do not feel that you may have injured any underlying bone. It seems more of a ligament or tendon sprain around the joint. If you can make a complete fist and stretch out the fingers completely, then there is nothing to worry about.

If there is any problem in the finger movements, then the tendon / muscle may have been partially injured.

I suggest you to continue applying ice packs. Also apply compression bandage around the injured part and avoid using the finger as far as possible.

Take anti-inflammatory analgesic tablets like paracetamol, ibuprofen or tramadol.

The symptoms should improve by tomorrow.

If you find no improvement,or if the pain increases, then consult a nearby orthpedist and get a X ray done.

I hope the answer was useful.

Feel free to get back to me if you have any follow up queries.

Thank you.

Kind regards.
