Suggest Treatment For Swollen Painful Foot And Redness On Shin Area
Question: I fell down the steps a week ago and badly bruised my shin. My foot is now swollen and my shin is still red and warm to the touch. It feels tight.

Meanwhile,you may take rest,limb elevation,Ibuprofen and trypsin/chymotrypsin to reduce pain and swelling. Thrombophob ointment helps in early resorption of bruise.
Your local pharmacist might know about the drugs.If possible, you may send the picture of swelling.

I am glad that you are able to climb stairs and walk around as this is suggestive of soft tissue (benign) injury. It usually heals by 3-4 weeks time.You may do Ice fomentation to the bruised area along with the treatment as discussed earlier.
